HONGQIAN (KATHY) ZHANG
PRINCIPAL LAWYER
Kathy Zhang is a highly accomplished lawyer with a wealth of experience in both Chinese and Canadian legal systems. A graduate from a top-tier law school in China, Kathy honed her skills as a judge at the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court, where she adjudicated commercial and civil disputes. Her strong academic background includes obtaining a Master's degree in Law from the University of Hong Kong and a second Master's degree in Law from Dalhousie University.
Throughout her career, Kathy has successfully served thousands of clients on various legal matters, including family law, corporate affairs, business transactions, commercial litigation, real estate financing, and estate planning. As a trusted advisor, Kathy regularly assists local and international companies with cross-border transactions.
With native Mandarin speaking skills and Chinese drafting abilities, Kathy can effectively handle complex legal matters for a diverse clientele. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, golfing, and cross-country skiing.
Kathy frequently gives presentations to organizations, including charities and professional groups, and is happy to do so upon request*.

Larry completed his undergraduate studies at Peking University, majoring in law, and obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree. He pursued his postgraduate studies at the University of Toronto in Canada, where he earned a Master of Laws degree. Larry holds a professional lawyer qualification certificate for mainland China and has practiced as a lawyer in China for several years.

Adam recently graduated from the University of Alberta’s combined Juris Doctor / Master of Business Administration (JD/MBA) program. During his first year of law school, Adam and his partner took first place in the Faculty of Law’s internal moot court competition, which encompassed every student of his incoming year.
