ADAM LOWE

Adam recently graduated from the University of Alberta’s combined Juris Doctor / Master of Business Administration (JD/MBA) program. During his first year of law school, Adam and his partner took first place in the Faculty of Law’s internal moot court competition, which encompassed every student of his incoming year. Over the course of his law school career, Adam has served as a frontline volunteer in non-profit projects aimed at providing free legal information and assistance to the public. These projects include Pro Bono Law Alberta’s Civil Claims Duty Counsel project, and Pro Bono Students Canada’s Student Legal Services project.
 
Adam’s time with the Alberta School of Business granted him training in business strategy, accounting, finance, marketing management, organizational strategy, and leadership. His MBA experience has provided him a business-oriented perspective and insight that greatly supplements the purely law-related focus of the JD program. He has since worked on dozens of files across a number of areas of law, including civil litigation, business and commercial transactions, wills and administration, real estate, landlord-tenant disputes, and family. 
 
Adam was born to parents who immigrated to Canada from Guangzhou and Hong Kong, and grew up in a household whose members spanned three generations. As such, he is well-versed in bridging cultural and generational gaps and has basic proficiency with spoken Cantonese.
